Records, 1793-1862, mostly related to the Fayette Street Baptist Church and its successor institution, the Oliver Street Baptist Church. They include letters of dismission from various Baptist churches to churches in New York 1793-1821, mostly to the Rev. John Williams, pastor of the Fayette Street Baptist Church; correspondence, agreements, and miscellaneous papers, 1795-1862; and bills and receipts, 1800-1848, for operational expenses, including bills for repairs, alterations, wages, oil, candles, etc. There are also some bonds and mortgages related to the Second Baptist Church, and a marriage certificate issued by the Macdougal Street Church.
